Wat maakt jou nou eigenlijk jou? In de gloednieuwe film 'Soul' van Pixar Animation Studios maak je kennis met Joe Gardner. Joe is muziekleraar op een middelbare school en krijgt de kans om in de beste jazzclub in de stad te spelen. Eén klein missertje zorgt er echter voor dat hij in The Great Before belandt, een magische plek waar nieuwe zielen hun persoonlijkheid, maniertjes en interesses krijgen voordat ze naar de aarde gaan. Joe is vastberaden om terug te keren naar zijn oude leven en schakelt de hulp in van de wijze ziel 22, die dat hele menselijke gedoe maar raar vindt. Terwijl Joe aan 22 wil laten zien wat er zo leuk is aan het leven, ontdekt hij wellicht antwoorden op een aantal levensvragen.
Nee, helaas is Soul nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
