Op de set van de populaire soap 'Mile High' wordt actrice Kris Buckner gedwongen weg te gaan door co-ster Mark Stratton. Als ze zegt dat ze 'hem zal vermoorden voordat ze de show verlaat', maakt ze zichzelf tot hoofdverdachte als Stratton wordt vermoord door iemand die hem vergiftigt. Als oude vriend komt Perry Mason Kris te hulp en stemt ermee in haar te verdedigen. Ondertussen gaat Ken met de hulp van een fan van de show op zoek naar informatie.
