De film vertelt het verhaal van de beroepscrimineel Driver, die wordt opgepakt door de Mexicaanse autoriteiten. Hij wordt in een gevangenis gestopt vol zware criminelen, waar hij leert overleven met de hulp van een 10-jarig jongetje.
