De inmiddels volwassen geworden Velvet krijgt de voogdij over haar veertienjarige, onhandelbare nichtje Sarah. Het meisje verandert totaal zodra haar tante haar de liefde voor paarden heeft bijgebracht en ze treedt in de voetsporen van tante Velvet. Sarah heeft haar zinnen gezet op Olympisch succes.
