De geadopteerde Jesse krijgt te horen dat zijn echte moeder eindelijk gelokaliseerd is, doordat ze overleden is. Hij blijkt een halfbroer te hebben die nu als pleegkind wordt opgenomen in hun gezin. Jesse wil hem echter niet accepteren, zeker niet omdat hij steeds leugens vertelt.
