Tobbi Findteisen is ondanks zijn jonge leeftijd al een begenadigd uitvinder. Maar hij raakt pas echt opgewonden wanneer op een dag de goedmoedige robot Robbi voor zijn voeten valt. Deze werd gescheiden van zijn ouders tijdens een noodlanding van hun ruimteschip. Daarom besluit Tobbi zijn nieuwe vriend in zijn zoektocht bij te staan.
