Dave wil de drie succesvolle eekhoorns Alvin, Simon, en Theodore naar school sturen. Wat Dave niet weet is dat de drie eekhoorns zich naast de mensen niet thuis voelen. Ondertussen, wordt Ian vrijgelaten uit de gevangenis en is op zoek naar dieren die goed kunnen zingen en dansen. Hij vindt drie Chipettes en kan niet wachten om hen beroemd te maken en zo wraak te nemen op de drie eekhoorns.
