Frank Leone kreeg vijf jaar voor ontsnapping. Nu heeft hij nog zes maanden te gaan. Maar de gevangenisdirecteur Drumgoole heeft hem die geslaagde vlucht nooit vergeven en laat Frank overplaatsen naar Gateway. Door hem het leven daar zo zwaar mogelijk te maken hoopt hij dat Frank weer zal proberen te ontsnappen, zodat hij hem levenslang kan geven.
