In 2008 landt een groep jonge islamitische militanten uit Pakistan in Mumbai, hun voornaamste doelwit: het iconische Taj Mahal-hotel. Nu de Indiase strijdkrachten er niet in slagen de controle terug te krijgen, moeten de gasten vier dagen lang strijden om te overleven terwijl de terroristen hen uit hun schuilplaats proberen te verdrijven. De schrijnende gebeurtenissen die volgen zullen bekend worden als 9/11 in India en een van de meest gedurfde terroristische aanslagen in de geschiedenis. Maar meer dan een verhaal over monsters en mensen, is dit een verhaal over onze gedeelde menselijkheid op het duistere kruispunt waar we nu op zijn gestuit.
