Een vreemd ongeluk brengt een ernstig zieke wiskundige, een rouwende moeder en een herboren ex-gevangene samen in een verhaal dat hun emotioneel en fysiek beladen levens toont. Hoewel ze elkaar niet kennen, wordt het trio onherroepelijk verstrengeld in een mix van liefde, verlossing en obsessie.
