Een groep buitenbeentjes komt een Yeti genaamd Everest tegen. Ze besluiten dat ze Everest vanuit Sjanghai terug willen brengen naar zijn familie. Samen beginnen ze aan een 3000 kilometer lange reis om het magische schepsel met zijn gezin te herenigen op het hoogste punt op aarde.
