De gokker Ron Lewis wint de jackpot, maar wordt op de terugweg naar huis op straat aangevallen en beroofd. Uit zelfverdediging doodt hij een corrupte politieagent en wordt hij veroordeeld tot vier jaar gevangenisstraf. Als hij vrijkomt vat hij het plan op om op bloedige wijze wraak te nemen op de burgemeester en de politiecommissaris die hem het onrecht hebben aangedaan.
