De aantrekkelijke galeriehoudster Victoria (Susan Lucci) maakt een slippertje met Evan (Michael Dudikoff). Dat komt haar duur te staan, want haar vriendin die haar zogenaamde alibi was voor die avond, wordt de volgende morgen dood in haar flat gevonden. Het appartement zit vol met Victoria's vingerafdrukken. Evan blijkt onvindbaar, waarop Victoria gearresteerd wordt. Ze komt echter op borgtocht vrij en neemt de jonge privé-detective Randy (Christine Belford) in de arm, maar die wordt alras levenloos uit het water opgevist. Tenslotte bekent ze haar man Michael (Tim Matheson) haar avontuurtje en samen gaan ze op zoek naar de verdwenen kroongetuige.
