Acteur Tony Chappel (Richard Boone) is onlangs blind geworden. Als hij ontdekt dat zijn vrouw Elizabeth (Stella Stevens) vreemdgaat, besluit hij haar te vermoorden en haar minnaar ervoor op te laten draaien. Hij zet zijn plan in werking maar laat per ongeluk bewijsmateriaal achter. Nadien onderzoekt de politie de dood van de vrouw, met haar minnaar als hoofdverdachte. Luitenant Bergman (John Marley) verdenkt Tony echter van de moord en is vastberaden dit te bewijzen.
