Duncan Mayor (Andy Garcia) is van plan zijn vrouw Suzy (Mary-Louise Parker) het perfecte kerstcadeau te geven: een rit op een reuzenrad, opgezet in hun eigen achtertuin. Als jongeman was dit de perfecte plek voor een huwelijksvoorstel. Nu, jaren later, is Duncan tot alles bereid om die ervaring te herbeleven met zijn vrouw. Maar Natalie Stringer, een thuisverpleegkundige, trekt in bij de twee om voor Suzy te zorgen, maar zorgt ook voor spanningen.
