Majoor Charles Rane komt terug uit Vietnam en krijgt een aantal geschenken omdat hij een oorlogsheld is. Een aantal boeven beroven hem hiervan. Daarmee komen ook zijn vrouw en zoon om het leven en raakt hij gewond aan zijn hand. Met zijn oorlogsvriend Johnny zinnen ze op wraak.
