Linda is een therapeute uit Long Island met een privéleven dat uit elkaar valt. Zo kampt haar kind met een onbekende ziekte, is haar echtgenoot afwezig, is haar thuis een hele bouwplaats en wordt haar relatie met haar eigen therapeut vijandig. Door deze emotionele mijnenveld poogt Linda zich een weg te banen. Haar groeiende angsten nemen echter haar hele leven over.
