In de nacht dat een tropische storm een dorp in het Thaise Isan treft, vindt er een bloedbad plaats op een afgelegen landgoed. Verspreid over het landgoed worden verschillende lichamen gevonden met verschillende doodsoorzaken en niemand weet wie de moordenaar is. Als hoofdonderzoeker staat de gedreven rechercheur Nawat onder druk om de dader te vinden. Uiteindelijk richt hij zijn verdenkingen op de buitenstaander Earl, een Brit met een duister geheim.
