Sydney is een jonge federale agente. Wanneer haar vertrouwelijke informant in een strafrechtelijk onderzoek plotseling vermist wordt, rekruteert ze zijn dubbelganger om zijn rol te spelen. Maar haar taak wordt nog moeilijker als ze verliefd wordt op de vervanger van de crimineel. Hij is toevallig een Europese prins die de Verenigde Staten bezoekt met Kerstmis.
