John D, een zeventiger die in een luxehotel aan de Côte d'Azur woont, is gefascineerd door zijn buurvrouw. Ze doet hem denken aan zijn wilde jaren aan de Rivièra in de jaren 60. Hij was toen spion in een beloftevolle maar snel veranderende wereld. Op een dag verdwijnt zijn buurvrouw op mysterieuze wijze... en komt John oog in oog te staan met zijn demonen. Wordt zijn idyllische wereld verstoord door zijn toenmalige tegenstanders die terug zijn om chaos te creëren?
