Cat werd op elfjarige leeftijd door zijn moeder achtergelaten in Jamaica. Ze was op zoek naar een beter leven. Pas zes jaar later kon ze hem en zijn zusje laten overkomen. In die zes jaar van haar afwezigheid werd Cat lid van 'De Orde', een plaatselijke misdaadbende. Hij woont nu met zijn moeder in een klein appartement in de getto's van Brooklyn, New York en raakt geobsedeerd door het bereiken van zijn visie op de Amerikaanse droom.
