Samen met zijn oude makkers Doc en Chavez en drie nieuwe kompanen gaat Billy The Kid weer op pad. De tijden zijn echter veranderd en de boeren en grootgrondbezitters laten de macht van het geld spreken en trachten hun economische positie te bestendigen door schijnbaar fatsoen en politieke invloed. In dat wereldbeeld is er geen plaats voor avonturiers zoals Billy The Kid en zijn Regulatorbende.
