Tim lijkt een normaal en gelukkig leven te leiden in Chicago. Niets is echter minder waar, want hij wordt achterna gezeten door een angstaanjagend verleden dat te maken heeft met het monster uit de slaapkamerkast: de Boogeyman. Wanneer Tims moeder overlijdt, met wie hij geen contact meer had, keert hij terug naar zijn ouderlijk huis op het platteland. Tim moet zijn angsten onder ogen komen en ze zien te overwinnen. De enige manier om dit te bereiken is een nacht alleen door te brengen in het mysterieuze vervallen Victoriaanse huis.
Nee, helaas is Boogeyman nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
