Ember Morley is grafisch ontwerper en beginnend illustrator van verhalenboeken in Manhattan. Ze is verrast als ze hoort dat ze de kerstboomboerderij van haar grootmoeder heeft geërfd. Ze gaat terug naar haar geboorteplaats Willow Hill om de boerderij voor Kerstmis te verkopen, maar de charmante stedelingen overtuigen haar om nog wat langer te blijven en te helpen bij het plannen van hun jaarlijkse kerstboomfestival. Wanneer Ember noodgedwongen samen moet werken met Brandon Hart, de knappe huismeester van de boerderij, wordt ze herinnerd aan de dingen die ze ooit in het leven wilde.
