De voormalige priester Frederic heeft lange tijd geleden de kerk verlaten om een gezin te stichten. Die droom spatte uiteen na de dood van hun kind. Wanneer het stel het bezoek krijgt van ene Aaron, wordt hun leven op zijn kop gezet. Frederic kan zich niet aan de indruk onttrekken dat de toorn van een wraakzuchtige god nabij is.
