Plot

Na de gebeurtenissen uit 'Scorpion's Revenge' keren Raiden, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade en Jax Briggs terug naar Earthrealm. Hun thuis blijkt aangevallen te zijn door de vijandelijke troepen van tiran Shao Kahn. Hierdoor worden Raiden en zijn groep krijgers gedwongen mee te doen aan een allesbepalende Mortal Kombat in Outworld. Het bloederige toernooi zal het lot van de rijken bepalen.
