Last Man Standing werpt een blik op Death Row en hoe de straatbendecultuur in L.A. de bedrijfsactiviteiten was gaan domineren, evenals een associatie met corrupte LA-politieagenten die ook bij de bende waren aangesloten. Het zou deze wereld van rivaliteit tussen bendes en vuile agenten zijn die het leven zou eisen van de twee grootste rappers ter wereld: Tupac Shakur en Biggie Smalls.
