"Gebaseerd op het waargebeurde verhaal van de eis van één man om gehoord te worden." De voormalig veteraan Brian Easley houdt zich, gescheiden van zijn vrouw en kind, op in een motel. De anders zo aardige man is wanhopig en neemt het besluit een bank te overvallen. Tijdens het voorval houdt hij gijzelaars gevangen en dreigt hij met een bom. Het nieuws lokt de politie, media en zijn gezin naar de plaats van het gebeuren.
