Bascomb, de sheriff van het door de Ku Klux Klan gedomineerde stadje Atoka in de Amerikaanse zuidelijke staten, probeert de blanke grondeigenaar Breck Stancill te beschermen. Deze heeft zich de woede van de burgers van Atoka op de hals gehaald door zwarten een onderkomen op zijn land te bieden. Als Bascomb de racistische meute niet meer kan tegenhouden, komt het tot een bloedig gevecht op Stancills land.
Nee, helaas is The Klansman nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
