Als de National Rod Association een nieuwe competitie voor kinderen opzet, is de achtjarige Erica Enders er als de kippen bij om zich aan te melden. Haar vader steunt haar volledig en Erica wint de ene na de andere wedstrijd. Samen met haar zusje strijdt ze tegen de jongens en ook hen hakken ze in de pan. De grote vraag is wie uiteindelijk de felbegeerde Junior Nationale Kampioenschappen wint .
