Wat doe je als je huisdier ontsnapt? Of als, zoals in het geval van twee kerntechneuten, je bunzing ervandoor gaat? Dan bel je Hitpig! Hitpig is een varken dat gespecialiseerd is in het opsporen van ontsnapte dieren. Voor hem is het een job als elke andere—niet altijd makkelijk, maar het betaalt de rekeningen. Maar het loopt uit de hand wanneer hij op zoek moet naar de rebelse olifant Pukkie die ontsnapt is uit de klauwen van een beruchte showman uit Las Vegas. Gelukkig krijgt hij hulp van de energieke SuperHaan. Samen belanden ze in een avontuur vol onverwachte wendingen, vriendschap en de ontdekking dat wat je zoekt, niet altijd is wat je nodig hebt.
