Op een hete zomerdag in Los Angeles kruisen de levens van 25 jonge inwoners van Los Angeles elkaar. Een skatende gitarist, een tagger, twee aspirant-rappers, een gefrustreerde fastfoodmedewerker, een limousine chauffeur – ze verweven zich allemaal met elkaars verhalen. Door middel van poëzie verwoorden ze leven, liefde, verdriet, familie, thuis en angst. Een van hen wil gewoon een plek vinden waar ze nog steeds goede cheeseburgers serveren.
