Joseph heeft een goede band met zijn zonen Joachim en Ivan, maar is blind voor het feit dat elk van hen de controle over hun leven begint te verliezen. Joachim zou zich moeten richten op zijn studie, maar is met zijn gedachten bij zijn ex. Ivan is een buitenstaander op school en Joseph zelf neemt stiekem ontslag als dokter om een carrière te beginnen als schrijver. Ondanks de aanwezige affectie thuis zijn de drie mannen op zoek naar liefde.
