De film vertelt het verhaal van de 20-jarige Lucy en oorlogsveteraan Stupe. Texas probeert zich af te scheiden van de Verenigde Staten en New York City wordt gebruikt als onderhandelingsmiddel. Lucy ontmoet Stupe als ze uit de metro komt en in de militaire invasie van Brooklyn belandt.
