Wes Merritt en zijn dochter Natalie (14) kopen een oud huis dat vroeger werd bewoond door de aardige oude mevrouw Ashboro en haar kat, Margaret. Als er vreemde dingen in huis gebeuren, wijzen alle vingers naar de aanwezigheid van Margaret, die op dezelfde dag stierf als mevrouw Ashboro. Maar waarom is ze teruggekomen om hen te achtervolgen?
