WO-I. De oorlog verplaatst zich van het land naar de lucht. Zangeres Lila Schmidt treedt op voor de geallieerden maar is tevens een spionne voor de Duitsers. Ze krijgt de opdracht om met een majoor aan te pappen die een belangrijke rol speelt in de luchtmacht. Ze is erg succesvol maar zijn superieuren hebben door dat er een spion is, al weten ze niet dat zij het is. Bovendien raakt ze emotioneel bij de zaak betrokken.
Nee, helaas is Darling Lili nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
