Wanneer burgerwacht-landbaron David Braxton een van de beste vrienden van veedrijver Tom Logan ophangt, besluit Logans bende wraak te nemen door een kleine boerderij naast Braxtons ranch te kopen. Van daaruit beginnen de rustlers paarden te stelen, waarbij ze de boerderij als front gebruiken voor hun operatie. Vastbesloten om de diefstallen koste wat het kost te stoppen, schakelt Braxton de hulp in van de excentrieke scherpschutter Robert E. Lee Clayton, die meedogenloos Logans bende begint neer te halen.
