De New Yorkse tieners Bill en Stan reizen door het zuiden. Wanneer ze per ongeluk iets meenemen uit een winkel zonder te betalen worden ze opgepakt voor een moord die ze niet gepleegd hebben. Ze kunnen geen advocaat betalen,en dus bellen ze de oom van Bill, die zegt advocaat te zijn en samen met zijn verloofde naar het zuiden afreist.
