Het is 1934, aan boord van de fameuze trein Parijs-Istanbul. Een rijke financier wordt dood aangetroffen, omgebracht door messteken. Een Belgische superspeurder verdenkt al zijn medepassagiers. Hij begint met het uitgebreid verhoren van alle passagiers, met als doel het ontmaskeren van de moordenaar.
