kinderen gaan door een mystiek portaal in een kledingkast en ontdekken het magische koninkrijk Narnia, een land van pratende dieren en mythische wezens. Daar heeft de betovering van een boze heks het land in de eeuwige winter geworpen. Uit angst dat een eeuwenoude profetie in vervulling gaat en dat de kinderen de rechtmatige heersers van Narnia zijn, verleidt de Witte Heks hun jongste broer om zijn familie te verraden, waarbij ze een eeuwenoude magie uitoefent die ze kan gebruiken om de vervulling van de profetie een halt toe te roepen. Nu kan alleen Aslan, de nobele leeuw en Hoge Koning boven alle koningen in Narnia, hen helpen de heks te verslaan, de lente in Narnia te herstellen en hun rechtmatige plaatsen op de troon op te eisen.
Nee, helaas is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
