De film draait om de hond Bailey. Bailey zijn leven wordt van geboorte tot de dood, door verschillende reïncarnaties heen, gevolgd. Hij zit elke keer in een nieuw lichaam en op deze manier is hij in staat om meerdere baasjes te helpen en hoopt hij erachter te komen wat zijn doel precies is.
