Charly Matteï heeft de pagina van zijn wetteloze geschiedenis omgeslagen. Hij leeft sinds drie jaar een vredig, rustig leventje, toegewijd aan zijn vrouw en twee kinderen. Maar op een winterochtend wordt Charly voor dood achtergelaten op het parkeerterrein van een oude haven in Marseille, met 22 kogels in zijn lichaam.
