Volgt de verhalen van de vier mannen van de familie Kirby. Terwijl het huwelijk van Alex uiteenvalt, Toby wanhopig probeert een gezin te stichten, en Marty probeert zijn vervaagde muziekcarrière een nieuwe impuls te geven en een betekenisvolle relatie te vinden met iemand van zijn eigen leeftijd, moeten ze alle drie in het reine komen met de mentale toestand van hun vader.
