Een jonge man ligt in een ziekenhuis, zwevend tussen leven en dood. De politie weet niets over hem. De patiënt herinnert zich op zijn zeldzame momenten van bewustzijn alleen de betrokkenheid van zijn bende bij een overval op een zeldzaam schilderij, en de mysterieuze Madame Jacno die Fabrizio, de bendeleider, de opdracht gaf het kunstwerk te stelen. Maar iemand probeert nog steeds de patiënt te vermoorden, en terwijl zijn leven voortdurend wordt bedreigd, komt zijn geheugen langzaam bij hem terug…!
