Als een rustige, chique wijk wordt geteisterd door een serie inbraken, gaat detective Mike Logan undercover als nanny. Hij wordt aangenomen door de familie Bannerman, krijgt een band met hun twee kinderen en wordt verliefd op Jessie, een andere nanny die in de buurt werkt. Het is nu aan Mike om zowel zijn geheime identiteit als zijn nieuwe vrienden te beschermen terwijl hij de ingewikkelde zaak probeert op te lossen.
