Detective Kyle Bodine is een brave man die de meest smerige klussen moet opknappen. Ze vertellen hem wie er dood is en hij verteld hun wie het gedaan heeft. Rachel Monroe is een mooie vrouw met veel problemen waaronder een monsterhuwelijk. Zij zal er alles aan doen om uit deze ellende weg te komen. En daar heeft ze Kyle bij nodig.
