Plot

In het niet langer helemaal Wilde Westen van eind 19e eeuw lijkt de familie LaHaye het doel van hun dromen te hebben bereikt. Ze hebben zich in hun eigen huis gevestigd als het dagelijkse leven overschaduwd wordt door de plotselinge dood van hun dochtertje. Vrouw Missie geeft haar baan als lerares op, echtgenoot Willie moet om financiële redenen de baan als sheriff op zich nemen. Dat de dochter van een boswachter met een slechte reputatie verliefd wordt op de geadopteerde zoon, maakt het leven er niet makkelijker op.
