Een jonge rechtenstudent, Martin, begint aan zijn parttime baan als nachtportier bij het mortuarium op het moment dat een seriemoordenaar de stad aan het terroriseren is. Dan wijst alles er ook nog op dat hij de moordenaar is en voor de politie wordt hij de hoofdverdachte. De enige manier waarop hij het mysterie kan oplossen, is door zelf op onderzoek te gaan.
