De komst van de rebelse Margret 'Legs' Sadovsky zet de plaatselijke middelbare school op stelten. De zelfverzekerde tiener zet haar medestudenten aan om eindelijk op te treden tegen biologieleraar Buttinger die de zwakkere meisjes van de klas seksueel misbruikt. Onder impuls van Legs nemen vijf meisjes wraak op hun leraar, maar de schooldirecteur heeft het niet zo begrepen op hun acties en schorst hen voor drie weken. De vijf trekken steeds vaker samen op en maken van een verlaten huis hun uitvalsbasis. Vooral tussen Legs en Maddy ontstaat een diepe vriendschap.
