Een barman uit New York redt een verwaasloosde puppy uit een vuilnisbak en hierdoor wordt hij het doelwit van diens gewelddadige en mentaal onstabiele eigenaar. Op hetzelfde ogenblik bevindt hij zich temidden van een complot dat zich afspeelt in de door de maffia gecontroleerde bar waar hij werkt.
